International Choral Composition Competition

kansainvalinen-kuorosavellyskilpailu-400x200px-1

The deadline for entering (under pseudonyms) VocalEspoo’s international choral composition competition was at the end of January. An astonishing number of entries – 127 – was received, so the jury has plenty to keep it busy. All the composers who submitted entries will be notified in April of whether their work has been shortlisted for a prize. These shortlisted works will be performed at the opening VocalEspoo concert at the Espoo Cultural Centre, Tapiola Hall at 18.00 on Sunday June 5, when the winners will also be decided. The concert will surely be an exciting one, as will discovering the names of the composers behind the pseudonyms.
