How do the letters of the alphabet sound when sung in the dialect of SW Finland? All will be revealed in the performance of Aapine (ABC) by the Tapiola Choir and the Key Ensemble. Aapine introduces both children and adults to the alphabet in a way that is fun and innovative, one letter at a time from A to Ö (the last letter in the Finnish alphabet). It was commissioned by the Key Ensemble from composer-Professor Atso Almila and is based on texts from the book Aapinen (Otava 2013) written by poetess Heli Laaksonen in the SW Finland dialect.
