Conductor Taavi Oramo has been appointed artistic director of the VocalEspoo festival in 2020. Oramo sees this as an opportunity for creating an exciting playing field for a unique event, while acknowledging the festival’s history.

161 entries made it to the International Choral Composition Competition by the deadline! Vast majority of entries are competing in the mixed choirs category. The Jury will now start their work and the awarded pieces will be heard in the opening concert of VocalEspoo Festival on 3 June 2018.
VocalEspoo 2018 will take place on June 3-9. The festival will feature a wide range of courses, competitions and, of course, concerts in many vocal genres. We hope to see you there!
